Some controls on Scratch Live can have a secondary function by using CTRL + Click when mapping. For example, holding CTRL and clicking on the loop button allows you to MIDI map the Loop Trigger instead of Loop Toggle. IPad owners can link their device to their laptop running Serato Scratch Live or Serato DJ, allowing easy access to effects control, SP6-sampler functions, library navigation, cue points, and more.

Jul 14, 2013 2) Download either the Serato DJ 1.2.1 or Scratch Live 2.5 downloads packages. 4) Unzip the file when it has completed downloading. 5) Run the Serato DJ 1.2.1 or Scratch Live 2.5 installer. 6) Run the Loopmasters Sample Installer. 7) Open Serato DJ or Scratch Live. In Serato DJ you can create Manuals Loops, to achieve a specific size of loop, Auto Loops by selecting a range of Loop sizes, or you can save a up to 8 loops for each track and recall those loops when required. Click the Loops tab in the virtual deck area to open loop controls.

Scratch Live 2.5 Bug Fixes
Alongside these key features Scratch Live 2.5 also includes bug fixes to continue the unparalleled level of stability and performance that Serato software is known for.
Some examples of the bug fixes are:
- Mixtape .als recordings now work with Ableton Live 9.
- Fixed a bug where the beatgrid lock wasn't being saved and loaded to/from the file; it was only being saved to the database.
- The Sixty-Eight record source is now correctly loaded from preferences.
- Fixed a bug where the CDJ-350 was sending both MIDI and HID messages which meant it could possibly fire two different Scratch Live events at the same time.
- Fixed a bug where the DJFX deck assignments wouldn't save to preferences if going from being 'on' initially, to 'off'.
